The bust, perched atop marble, gazes out over the water, offering a moment of contemplation and respect. It's a fitting memorial to the city's explorers, surrounded by scenic parkland perfect for relaxing.
A must-visit for history lovers, the WA Shipwrecks Museum is a fascinating journey into Australia's maritime history. Located in a 1850s-era building, it houses relics from notable shipwrecks, including the Batavia, Zuytdorp, and Vergulde Draeck. Highlights include recovered ship timbers and even the skeleton of one of the first Europeans to reach Australia. A visit here is an immersive dive into the past, offering a deeper understanding of Australia's maritime heritage.
