Taking care of your eyes isn’t just important; it’s essential. Eye care has no age limit - it’s never too early or too late to start (SIMPLE ANTI-AGING TIPS). Whether you’re a teenager or an adult, paying attention to the delicate skin around your eyes can make a difference. When it comes to eye care products, you’ll typically choose between an eye cream or an eye gel. Personally, I’ve grown to favor eye gels over the years.

Let me introduce you to the Simple Water Boost Hydrating Eye Gel - a product I’ve been using for almost three months now (NIVEA ROSE CARE MICELLAR WASH GEL).

Product Overview

Simple Water Boost Hydrating Eye Gel (25ml)
This eye gel is a lightweight, fast-absorbing formula designed to hydrate and refresh your eyes, especially if they’re stressed from screen time or lack of sleep. It claims to reduce puffiness, awaken tired eyes, and offer antioxidant benefits.

My Experience
I stumbled upon this product while browsing for an eye gel to replenish my stock. Although I didn’t have my heart set on it initially, it caught my eye, and I decided to give it a try.

Packaging

The packaging is compact and travel-friendly, featuring a clean blue-and-white color scheme. It comes in a small tube housed within a cardboard box. This design makes it easy to slip into your beauty pouch without taking up much space.

Texture and Application

The gel is translucent with no noticeable fragrance. It dispenses smoothly from the tube, either onto the back of your hand or directly onto your fingers. Its lightweight, cooling texture absorbs effortlessly into the delicate skin around the eyes without leaving a greasy residue or smearing.

Performance

Hydration

While it feels hydrating upon application, I didn’t notice a dramatic improvement in my eye area.

Dark Circles

Unfortunately, it didn’t make a significant difference for my dark circles - a primary concern for me - but it didn’t make them worse either.

Under Makeup
I haven’t tried it beneath concealer or eye primer, so I can’t speak to its compatibility in that context.

Ease of Removal

The gel washes off easily during cleansing, leaving no residue behind.

Longevity and Value

I’ve been using this eye gel twice a day for three months, and it has lasted well. At RM35.00, it’s reasonably priced, though there are more affordable options from local halal brands.

Would I buy it again? Maybe not. I’m curious to explore other eye gels, especially from Malaysian brands. However, I don’t regret this purchase - it’s a product that does what it promises at a basic level.
