Gunung Lang Recreational Park (Ipoh)
For nature lovers visiting Ipoh, Gunung Lang Recreational Park is a fulfilling stop. This serene escape, surrounded by limestone hills and a tranquil lake, is one of Ipoh’s scenic gems. Ideal for a breather from city life, it’s a place to slow down and admire nature. We spent about 15 minutes by the lake and chose not to explore further into the park’s trails (EXPLORING BETONG, THAILAND).

Right in Ipoh Old Town, Concubine Lane is a popular tourist street lined with shops selling souvenirs, snacks, and trinkets. Though colorful and lively, it’s more of a “walk-through” experience. You could pop by, take a few photos, and move on. Not a must-do unless you're nearby or love checking out historic lanes.

A historic gem in Perak, Victoria Bridge is one of Malaysia’s oldest railway bridges, completed in 1900. This colonial-era structure spans the Perak River and played a vital role in transportation during the British era. Today, it’s a must-visit for history buffs and anyone keen on vintage architecture.
Located in the compound of the District Office, this rubber tree is a symbolic part of Malaysia’s agricultural history. Introduced in 1877, it marks the start of Malaysia’s rubber boom. A quick stop, but meaningful for locals and those interested in the country’s heritage.

An engineering marvel from Malaysia’s tin mining days. Though we didn’t get to enter due to Friday prayers and timing, it’s still a remarkable sight. This floating dredge, built in 1938, reflects the industrial past of Perak.
A refreshing stop for nature lovers. This towering waterfall, one of the tallest in Malaysia, flows from the Titiwangsa Range. The sound of cascading water alone is soul-soothing. We admired it briefly, but it’s great for a longer dip or picnic.
